CounterCorp is holding a trailer contest for the 5th Annual Anti-Corporate Film Festival in May 2010. We are seeking a trailer to promote the Festival itself.
The winning trailer will be posted on the CounterCorp website, shown at the theater in the days/weeks leading up to the Festival, and screened before every film at the Festival.
The winner also gets two free passes to the Festival ($100 value), a CounterCorp t-shirt ($20 value), and other prizes to be announced.
Anyone is welcome to submit a trailer, which should relate to corporations in some way, but otherwise you are free to do whatever you want. We want to encourage people's creativity rather than confine them to a specific vision.
The only other stipulations are that trailers can be no more than 30 seconds long (0:30), the format must be at least standard definition (SD, 720 x 480), the file format should be MPEG4 (.mp4 or .m4v), and we can consider only one submission per contestant.
Have fun. This is a great opportunity for filmmakers to gain
public exposure and recognition, and add to their reels.
The deadline for receipt of entries is Friday, April 2, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. To submit your entry, please read and follow these directions carefully:
- Send us an e-mail no later than March 31 by selecting the "Trailer contest" category on our contact form, and include the following information:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your e-mail address
- Credits for any people who worked on the trailer. (Please do not include any credits before or after the trailer itself.)
- We will confirm receipt of your e-mail and send you a link to upload the web version of your completed trailer to our server. Your trailer file should be no more than 100MB in size, and the filename should be your first and last name, like this:
firstnamelastname_trailer.mp4 OR firstnamelastname_trailer.m4v
- Important: Save a copy of your full-resolution file in case you win! We will use that version to show your trailer at the theater.
For more information, send an e-mail to contest coordinator Hillary Burkman by selecting the "Trailer contest" category on our contact form.
Good Luck!
Corporate Film Festival — and remember to buy local!
