The Anti-Corporate Film Festival
The CounterCorp Anti-Corporate Film Festival is a three-day series of film screenings, panel discussions, and related events held every year in San Francisco, USA. The inaugural CounterCorp Festival took place in 2006.
The Festival is open to U.S. and foreign-made, feature-length and short, narrative (fictional) and documentary films — including animated and experimental works. Non-English films must have English subtitles.
In 2010, the CounterCorp Festival moved to a "rolling" submissions policy with no fixed deadline for entries. This means filmmakers and distributors can submit films at any time of the year.
Depending on when we receive the films, we will consider them either for possible inclusion in the next Festival, or for one of several single-night screenings we organize during the year.
To submit a film for consideration, please use our contact form to send an e-mail under the "Festival submissions" category with the following information:
- The name of the film (in English and the original language, if different)
- The approximate running time
- A brief description
- The director's name
- Year of release (or anticipated release date, if still in production)
- The country of origin (and original language, if other than English)
- The name of the production and/or distribution companies
- Why you think it would be a good fit for the CounterCorp Festival
CounterCorp also welcomes suggestions for Festival films from the general public. If you'd like to suggest a film that you think we should show, please use our contact form to send an e-mail under the "Feedback and ideas" category to send as much of the information listed above as possible. (This will make it easier for us to find the film.)
